Cookie Policy Overview

How GlobalAutoInsight uses cookies and similar technologies online

Last updated: July 14, 2026. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on GlobalAutoInsight, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy (if available on the site), because cookies and similar technologies can be used to collect or link to personal information.

A 「cookie」 is a small text file stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. Cookies help websites remember information about your visit, support core functionality, and improve performance. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain until they expire or you delete them (persistent cookies).

We may also use similar technologies that are not technically 「cookies,」 such as local storage, pixels (web beacons), SDKs, and device identifiers. These tools can perform comparable functions: enabling features, measuring traffic, preventing fraud, or supporting advertising and personalization. For simplicity, this policy refers to all such technologies as 「cookies.」

Some cookies are set directly by GlobalAutoInsight (first-party cookies). Others may be set by third parties whose tools we use (third-party cookies), for example to measure audience engagement or deliver advertising. Third-party cookies and identifiers may allow those providers to collect information about your browser or device across different sites or apps, depending on their settings.

Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies (for example, analytics or advertising cookies). In other places, we may rely on different legal bases permitted by law, such as legitimate interests for site measurement or security, or performance of a service you request.

We aim to limit cookie lifetimes to what is necessary for their purpose. Session cookies typically expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their set expiration date or until you remove them. Retention can differ by cookie category and vendor configuration, and may change as we update site features.

Please note that disabling certain cookies can affect site functionality. Some features (such as saving preferences, maintaining session stability, or preventing abusive traffic) may not work properly without essential and security-related cookies. If you reject non-essential cookies, you should still be able to access core editorial content, though experiences may be less tailored.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect operational changes, vendor updates, or evolving legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will revise the 「Last updated」 date above and, where appropriate, provide an additional notice through the site.

Your Choices and Controls

Manage consent, browser settings, and industry opt-out tools

Cookie banner and on-site settings: When presented, you can use our cookie banner or preference controls to accept, reject, or customize non-essential cookies. If you later change your mind, you can revisit your choices using the same on-site controls (when available) or by clearing cookies in your browser to prompt the banner again.

Browser controls: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, or limit specific categories (for example, third-party cookies). You can usually find these controls in your browser's privacy or settings menu. If you block all cookies, some site features may not function as intended.

Device-level controls: On mobile devices, your operating system may provide additional privacy settings that affect identifiers used for analytics or advertising (for example, limiting ad tracking or resetting an advertising identifier). These settings vary by device and can change with operating system updates.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): Some users enable a browser or device setting that sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Depending on your jurisdiction and our processing activities, we may treat a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of certain data uses (such as sale/sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising where applicable) and align cookie choices accordingly.

Do Not Track (DNT): Some browsers historically offered a 「Do Not Track」 setting that sends a DNT header. The DNT specification has been discontinued and is not consistently supported, so we do not rely on DNT as a standardized preference signal. If you want to limit tracking, please use our cookie controls, browser cookie settings, or GPC where available.

Third-party opt-outs: If we use third-party advertising or analytics partners, those partners may provide additional controls to limit interest-based advertising or measurement. You can also explore opt-out mechanisms offered by industry programs (for example, the Digital Advertising Alliance or Network Advertising Initiative), where available in your region.

Analytics choices: If we run analytics to understand which articles, topics, and formats perform best, you may be able to limit analytics cookies via our cookie preferences (when offered) or by blocking analytics scripts through browser settings or privacy tools. Blocking analytics may reduce our ability to improve coverage based on aggregated readership signals.
